In this presentation, we will look at some emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), and Gesture Recognition. We will discuss how these technologies may affect what we do as technical communicators. This presentation is based on the class I took during the Summer 2016 semester, “Seminar in Emerging Technologies,” as part of my graduate work in the Information Design & Technology program at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
