You might have your 60-second elevator speech perfected, but what if you had 60 minutes to tell your Technical Communication story? From technical writing to marketing, UX, and project management, your skills and contributions are vast, but possibly unknown by coworkers and leaders outside of your department. If you had more time to tell your story, would you know what to say? If you had more visibility, could it lead to more training, more challenging assignments, and more opportunities to advance your career?

This session is a repurposed presentation initially delivered to promote Technical Communicators to coworkers and leaders at one local (yet international) business. Plan to leave the session with ideas of what to say and how to say it – as well as sample slides – so that you can promote Technical Communications, too!
