Many technical communicators belong to STC and similar associations for the networking opportunities, job resources, and access to publications and vetted content. But only a small portion of the membership uses the society to build their professional portfolio or resume by publishing or becoming certified. In this presentation, you will learn more about two essential ways to boost your career: publishing in Intercom magazine and becoming CPTC certified. We will address how to get published, how to guest edit, how to certify, and how to earn and maintain continuing education credits (CEUs).
